What a turnout we had today. With only a few complaints by "The English Twit" about the winning team's "player stacking"/handicap snafu-ers... the event was a smashing success.
We had mild weather in the early holes and it heated up as the day went on. Sunshine and a couple of near car hits from #8 tee box made for some excitement. Some ladies joined us on the course today, some were playing the Scramble and we had at least two spectators for a rather measly mobile gallery.
Some confusion about how to PLAYOFF for second place wound up biting the Harman/Miller team in the ass... but there are no hard feelings there.
I could regale you with the tales of chip-in eagles (there were at least 2) and we can all bask in the awe of Cody Stewart's -43 final score of 44 after playing 54 holes... but everyone who was at the course has already heard EVERY good shot OVER AND OVER again... so let's just move on already!

ONLY SHOULD BE A PLAYOFF FOR FIRST PLACE ONLY SECOND AND THIRD SHOULD SPILT THE CASH NO PLAYOFF
the playoff deal was that there was a tie for second place. Robert and I thought it would be easier and more golf-like to play it off starting on #1. Apparently the rules were to have a putt-off which we didn't realize so there was uproar from the gallery. A couple of guys on the sidelines decided that if we had a playoff that the 3rd place teams should get the money... since we would be somehow disqualified.
Then the putt off had some confusion so if that's how we're going to decide ties from now on we need to establish some hard and fast rules so that there is no complaining or ambiguity.
It doesn't matter to me if both of you decided to play it off, but Cappie's right it was a play off for first that I had the (team)putt off rule....only because I didn't want the club stuck with buying sleeves for 2 teams....JJ
